Well, I wanna tell you now
you never have to knock
the door may be shut
but it has no lock.

I'm wondering what
it is about you,
that makes me feel
the way that I do.
It could be your laugh,
It might be your smile,
Whatever it is.....
I like your style!

WELCOME HOME!

Revs. Bob and Kathy Thompson, O.M.C.

Dear Friends of Kathy and Bob Thompson,

Her husband's email is thetwowolves@webtv.net.

I regret to inform you that Kathryn passed away on Friday, July 19th, 2010. We don't know what caused the car accident she was in. Nobody else was injured in the accident. The Portage Sheriff's Department is continuing the investigation. Also, she willed her body to the Medical College of Madison. There may be a cremation at a later date. She is survived by her husband, Rev. Robert Thompson of Portage WI, her father, Rev. Randal Martin, two brothers, Clayton Thompson and Kevin Thompson. Kathryn's mother passed away sometime within the last two years. She is further survived by many loving relatives.

She told me she was honored to become a member of Robert's family and a stepmother to his children and stepgrandmother to his grandchildren--more than that she considered all his family members to be her family. Her last words to me on Friday included loving words about their grandchildren. Her husband and her father, Rev. Robert Thompson and Rev. Randal Martin, will be having a memorial service for Rev. Kathryn Claire Martin Thompson at Bob's home outside Portage, WI on

Saturday, July 24, 2010 at 4:00 pm.

It will be held outside, come rain or shine.

Their address is N9529 Monthey Road, Portage WI 53901.

Please use a program like Google Maps to find the address, or email me here if you need help, by Friday if possible as we will be very busy Saturday morning.

The service will be held outside. Please bring your own chairs and you may dress in comfortable clothing considering the hot and possibly inclement weather, so you might want to bring an umbrella.

There will also be a telephone service held during the Pathways of Light regular Sunday service and dedicated to Kathryn's memory on Sunday, July 25, 2010. Here is the link to information about that meeting: http://www.pathwaysoflight.org/sundayservice/sundayservice.html. Also, here is the link to Kathryn's ministerial webpage at Pathways of Light: http://www.pathwaysoflight.org/facilitators/ministers_profiles/details/121

Kathryn and Robert had a community service ministry as well as a Pathways of Light ministry. Their website is at: http://www.bumpityroad.org/ Kathryn loved sharing the Pathways of Light courses with her students and others. She enjoyed volunteering at the Care 4 You clinic in Dalton, WI run by Dr. Renee and serving many Amish people and other people who are without insurance. I have the great honor and please permit me to say here I was a close friend and student of Kathryn, as were many, many others. As she continued her ministry with her husband, she also was about to share in a project with me on the following: classes and information about A Course in Miracles and Pathways of Light, of which she was a minister; classes of MiraclesOne in Madison (http://www.miraclesone.org/) founded and run by her dear friends Revs. Paul and Deb Phelps; and classes of The Foundation for the Awakening Mind (http://global-miracles.net/) founded and run by her great friend David Hoffmeister and associates, and other great books and services, and information on Angels. I asked her to name our project, and she decided on Angel Awareness Center. Kathryn believed that everyone had an angel inside of them, and she was able to see that angel. I will continue this project in her memory, and I know she guides me.

Those who attend the Saturday memorial are asked to carpool if possible because we expect there will be many cars. Parking is in front of the barn, along both sides of the driveway and on Monthey Road itself. Please leave a path for driving to the house, and leave the spots in front of the house for those who have handicaps. I expect we will have someone available to direct parking.   Please pass this on to whom you think appropriate to receive it.

Thank you so much,

Laurie Immekus
